illumina (2020)

I l l u m i n a  is a collection of translucent vessels crafted from liquid sugar, designed to emphasize the relationship between colour and light while visualizing ideas of impermanence and fragility.  Through these works the act of making reflects existence itself, a malleable and transitory experience. Each piece has its own short but unique life, shaped by inevitable and unpredictable elements such as time, temperature, light and gravity.
